A young worker listens to his gut advise him to talk to his boss when he doesn't feel prepared or safe to take on a task assigned to him.

Aims and objectives

Empowering young workers to trust their instincts and listen to their gut. When they feel their work activities or workplace is unsafe they should talk to their employer about it. Key Messages
• Listen to your gut. If something doesn’t feel safe at work, talk to your boss.
• Everyone has the right to a safe and healthy workplace. Talk to your boss if something doesn’t feel safe.
• How to talk to your boss about safety. Speaking up shows that you respect your workplace, so always ask if you are not clear about doing something in a safe manner.
• You know your rights, listen to your gut and speak up

Young workers aged 18-24 who have completed high school, and have a job in one of many industries (targeting industries with the highest rates of injury for young worker including construction, food and beverage and retail) in B.C.
